There once was a small child named Harry Potter. At only a year old, Harry's parents were murdered by the dark wizard Voldemort. However, when Voldemort tried to kill Harry, Voldemort's spell was reflected back at him, killing Voldemort and leaving Harry alive with a lightning scar on his head.
Harry gets delivered to his Aunt and Uncle named the Dursleys by Albus Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall, and Rubeus Hagrid. Over eleven years, Harry has strange incidents happen around him that he can't explain. On his eleventh birthday, he keeps getting letters addressed to him, causing him and the Dursleys to move from place to place, eventually ending up on a boat. In the middle of the night, a large man named Hagrid tells Harry he's a wizard.
Harry finds out at Hogwarts that there is a forbidden room that is guarded by a three headed dog. The room is said to hold something called the Sorcerer's stone, and Harry thinks that one of his teachers, named Snape, is trying to get to the past through the dog. Harry also believes Snape is threating another teacher, Quirrell, to tell him where the stone is.
After getting to the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry finds Quirrell trying to get the Sorcerer's Stone through a magical mirror. Harry then feels the stone drop inside his pocket, and when Quirrell finds out, he removes his turban to reveal Voldemort's face on the back of Quirrell's head. Quirrell then fights Harry for the stone, and after a while, Harry blacks out.
After the fight, Harry wakes up in Hogwarts hospital with the headmaster of Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore, standing next to Harry. Dumbledore tells Harry that professor Quirrell died during the fight, and that the stone was destroyed.
After Harry leaves the hospital, Harry says goodbye to his friends, and goes home to the Dursley's home, realizing they don't know he's not supposed to use magic at home.
