  • I must find a way to get out of King Minos' prison.
  • Rising Action
  • How wonderful!
  • Look Icarus, I have made us wings so that we can leave Crete!
  • Rising Action
  • Yes, father.
  • Now listen Icarus, you mustn't fly too low or too high. If you fly too high, the sun will melt the wax and you'll fall.
  • While Icarus sleeps, Daedalus thinks of ways to leave King Minos' prison. Finally, he collects all feathers and makes wings for himself and Icarus.
  • Climax
  • Get off me, you pesky birds!
  • Icarus had wondered why his father would want to leave such a luxurious place, but kept to himself. He was happy to be flying.
  • Falling Action
  • Daedalus instructs Icarus on how to fly. Icarus, listens carefully and says he will obey him.
  • Resolution
  • The birds are bothering Icarus so he has no choice but to fly higher, the sun begins to melt the wings wax.
  • Icarus, no!
  • Icarus had gotten too close to the sun which sadly caused the wax on the wings to melt and fall apart.
  • In the end, Icarus had died an unfortunate death and Daedalus had lived his life thinking that it was his fault, his son died.
