  • How could I accuse anyone of witchcraft after what I have done?
  • Hubris: Extreme pride
  • Lier!
  • John Proctors wife is a witch!
  • Anagnorisis: When the hero makes a critical discovery
  • Abigail has all the power and accused John Proctor's wife of witchcraft.
  • John Proctor is helping is community by confessing his sins, to save the lives of many and end Abigail's lies, but in the end it did not work.
  • John Proctor is a witch!
  • I broke a commandment! I had an affair!
  • Peripeteia: Reversal of fortune
  • John proctor must confess or die. If he signs the paper saying he is a witch, it would make all accused look bad.
  • I must lie to save my life, but that would mean all accused were witches! I want my life, but it shall be taken if i must give up my name!
  • Nemesis: Fate that cannot be reversed
  • Charsis: Tone the audience is left with after the hero's fall
  • In the end, the audience is left with pity for John Proctor, as he was sent to death by hanging.
