  • Salem, Massachusetts.
  • 1692
  • And a bunch of women are practicing witchcraft!
  • There are witches in our town!!
  • That is very suspicious. We should hold trails to see which women are witches.
  • you're a witch!

  • No! She is!
  • It started in the spring of 1692. Many girls were saying they were possessed by the Devil and accusations started to spread about people practicing witchcraft.
  • They're bewitched!!!!!!
  • The information spread through to town and trails were decided to be held with any accusation. The practice of witchcraft or any supernatural activities were believed to be of the Devil and was greatly looked down upon in the religious town of Salem
  • Fine, I'm a witch
  • Mass paranoia and hysteria spread as everyone accused men, women and children.
  • Hey. I freed the convicted and for witchcraft and gave them a pardon.
  • Yes, this was unlawful and we should conduct a fast for this tragedy.
  • One account was of Salem's Priest's daughter and niece began having fits and convulsions. They were diagnosed to be bewitched.
  • An Accused person could either confess and not get killed or say nothing. Saying nothing lead to being found guilty and being executed.
  • IN 1693 May Phips eventually freed and pardoned all convicted of being a witch and In January 1697, the Massachusetts General court held a day of fasting for the tragic loss of the Salem Trials
