  • Came home Saturday night - Things got really bad 
  • Original stroke - Monday
  • Turned machines off Monday afternoon.
  • His brother called him. He came back to the hospital on Sunday morning.
  • - Complex symptoms - Difficult to diagnose -Brain stem 1/2 inch in diameter - Effects brain stem = "shuts down" - Depends on what effected the brain stem to determine the recovery 
  • Research about Brain Stem Strokes.
  • Expected: - usually medical -grieve  along the way -possible preparation -goodbyes -time to resolve any issues 
  • Sudden: -caused by accident, suicide, homicide, or illness -shock -no goodbyes -guilt -no time to resolve and issues -unfair
  • Research about Sudden v.s. Expected death
  • Supporters: -Karen and Chris What he got out of it: - better supporter. One Lesson he learned: -To live in the moment Proud of himself for:  -He didn't quit on his family
  • Research about Andy Puckett, his supporters, and accomplishments.
  • He wanted to teach his kids everything they needed to know.
  • It made him become more responsible.
  • He learned that he should cherish the time spent with family - live in the moment.
