My theme for the book, "Freak the Mighty" is to never give up.
This scene is about when Kevin and Max get chased into an alley and are forced to make a diversion. This shows that when they were in a tough time, they always make it out okay.
Max in the beginning has no friends and then Kevin comes along in pre-k and they befriend each other in middle school. It shows how when Max was alone he was still able to find someone in the long run.
When Max gets kidnapped by Killer Kane, but Loretta Lee unties him. It shows that someone was always there for Max no matter what.
When Kevin passes away and leaves a book with Max for memories. It shows even Max is alone, the book will show him to never give up because Kevin is there with him.
It relates to me because never giving up no matter what seems hard to aspire too, but it will always help me out in the end. And during tests when I feel like I got a hard question, thinking about that one moral can help me concentrate more and finish. I also think when a horrible event takes place, I can always make it out.
