What neither Peter or Lara Jean realize is that they don’t have that much in common. Although they’re physically attracted to each other, they don’t share the same interests and they don’t have the same friends at school.
However, what this means is that sometimes he’s late for a meeting with Lara Jean, or he sees Genevieve instead of her. Needless to say, the lack of interest doesn’t go down well with Lara Jean.
John and Lara Jean seem far more compatible, but she now only has eyes for Peter. Although she gets friendlier with John, and her relationship with Peter is falling apart, it’s obvious that it’s not going anywhere.
Peter tries to repair his relationship with Lara Jean by writing her a poem. But she’s more interested in confronting him for still spending so much time with Genevieve, despite how it makes her feel. Her protests fall on deaf ears, and she considers breaking up with him.
