Storyboard Text

  • Time to arm the slaves !
  • My master plan is to bring these crates of guns to Harper's Ferry, VA to give them to the slaves. We will hopefully show the abolitionists point.
  • Why did no one show up?
  • John Brown wanted to arm slaves so he attacked a federal arsenal to get weapons for them
  • You are under arrest for murder and treason!
  • Oh no.
  • He got weapons and took the to Harpers Ferry, Virginia!
  • When he got there no slaves showed up
  • He was caught and got charged of murder and treason. He was told that he would be hung and skinned.
  • He was hug and skinned  for the acts of treason and murder. His poor wife named Mary Ann Brown, watched as her husband passed.
  • The North and the South had very different views on John Brown the Northerners saw him as a hero because he fought and died for a cause he thought was important and the Southerners saw him as a villain because he was an anti-slavery advocate.
