If you are half the player as your father you will be pretty good
once upon a time there was a boy named John Henderson from Dayton, Ohio who learned what a great football player his father was and dreamed to be one day as good as him....
Dayton, Ohio 1956
January 11, 1970. New Orleans
14 years later the vikings arrived at Tulane stadium for super bowl IV. It was a long season for John and he was exhausted mentally and physically.
The vikings were favorites to win the game but the Kansas City chiefs had the vikings number.
John had 7 catches for 111 yards in that game. That was a super bowl record until Jerry Rice later broke it in super bowl XXIII with 11 catches for 253 yards.
The vikings game plan wasn't working and the Kansas City Cheifs were making the Purple people eater defensive line a non-factor. The vikings lost the game 23-7 and their best chance at a super bowl win was gone.
John was disappointed they lost but he was happy the season was over so he could be with his family. He would spend 3 more seasons in Minnesota after that season.
