Storyboard Text

  • I'm glad you could join Ella and I for a walk today, Sophie!
  • Yeah I guess Julie, I just don't feel like doing anything anymore.
  • Why is that?
  • I can't do anything right so there's no point in trying anything and I won't be here much longer anyway.
  • You are amazing at so many thing so don't give up on doing things!
  • I once felt hopeless, helpless, and suicidal too and as soon as a talked to my mom and got help, things started to turn around and get better.
  • Yeah I guess, I think I'll ask my mom if i can talk to her about it as soon as I get home, thanks guys!
  • Sophie goes for a walk with her friends, Ella and Julie, after not doing anything for two weeks.
  • Of course, let's go sit down somewhere!
  • Mom can I talk to you about something?
  • Sophie tells her friends her feelings and how she has been struggling.
  • I just feel so helpless and hopeless all the time, and sometimes I think that it would be better if I wasn't here.
  • Thank you for telling me this, no one thinks those things about you, and everyone would be extremely upset if something ever happened. We can talk whenever you want and even go see someone if you want.
  • Ella and Julie convince Sophie that she is not helpless and hopeless, while relating to her and suggesting that she talk with her mom about her feelings.
  • I feel much better now, I know now that people love and care for me no matter what!
  • Sophie returns home and asks her mom if they can talk.
  • Sophie tells her mom about her new feelings and thoughts and her mom reassures her while promising to talk to a professional.
  • Sophie realizes that she is cared for and that people don't think negatively of her, soothing some of her harmful thoughts.
