March 7, 1770 The Boston Massacre Colonists were angered and revolting against taxes, thus the phrase "No taxation without representation'' blossomed. Colonists believed they were being taxed highly. A form of boycott.
The amount of boycott that was taking place got Leader George Washington to thinking. What could he do to get his people to calm down ?
