When the Japanese people would come over to the U.S. after the bombing they were looked at differently because of what their people did. Some of them were U.S. citizens and were mistreated because of something they had no control over.

Oil and steel were resources that we had that Japan wanted for many reasons. They had thought that if they could take away Hawaii from us that they would be able to take our resources.

The surprise attack was on the morning of December 7, 1941 and was created by the Japanese. The Japanese were attacking the U.S. because they wanted to destroy important American fleets.

The American soldiers said that they were woken up by the sound of the bombs hitting nearby. They had said also that they had felt that they were going to be taking their last breath on that day.
FDR said that this day will live in infamy meaning it will be a day that we will remember because of what we didn't do. We were given many warnings that the Japanese were going to attack us but we ddn't listen to them.
One of the Japanese soldiers had stated that they had done the same thing every day for training. He said that he never wanted to bomb the U.S. He didn't want to get into trouble and followed orders from his general.
