Storyboard Text

  • I got invited to a party and I want to bring you!!
  • Well, I don't have anything to wear. I don't even have any jewelry .
  • I will give you 400 francs, and you should go see your friend for jewelry.
  • Thank you so much!
  • Will you dance with me?
  • Will you dance with me?
  • This scene represents the exposition. This is where we find out that Mme. Loisel is a selfish and spoiled person.
  • I lost Mme. Foresteir's necklace.
  • I'll fund raise the money and we'll pay it back.
  • We get a hint of foreshadowing here. For example, Mme. Loisel asks for 400 francs to buy things she already has, so we can see here that no matter what, she will never be happy with what she has.
  • This is the rising action because this is when Mme. Loisel is at the party, getting all of the attention.
  • But, the necklace was only a paste. It's only worth 500 francs.
  • Mme. Forestier, I have something to tell you. When I borrowed the necklace from you, I actually lost it, so I had to pay back the 36,000 francs by working for 10 years.
  • In this scene, the climax is introduced to us. This is the climax because this is when Mme. Forestier's necklace is lost.
  • Here is where the author shows us the theme. The theme of this story is to not take advantage of the things that you have.
  • This is an example of irony because Mme. Loisel had to labor for 10 years to pay off the necklace, but she found out that the necklace was only 500 francs.
