Well since bata cells were destroyed for me in birth my pancreas can't create insulin and bring sugar to my cells.
Hey Monica, I was wondering, how exactly does your body maintain homeostasis?
So when my blood sugar rises and my body cannot control the stimulus receptors in my body sense a change.
The effectors try to solve the stimulus and regain homeostasis.
Is that when the pancreas comes in and releases insulin into your blood to lower your blood sugar levels?
Exactly! and once my blood sugar levels reach homeostasis my pancreas stops releasing insulin. Thus solving the problem and getting back to a set point.
Wow! That's a perfect example of a negative feedback loop!
