Storyboard Text

  • Oh my! What is this huge brown thing on my arm?!
  • Woah Mom that is huge! You should really get that checked out.
  • Hello Mrs.Ramsey, I'm Dr.Martin. What has brought you in today?
  • I've noticed a huge brown spot on my arm
  • Oh that is unusually huge. I'll run a few test and see what comes back.
  • Okay Doc.
  • So Mrs.Ramsey, the results show that you have an early stage of Melanoma cancer. Melanoma cancer is the most serious type of skin cancer. Although because we've caught it at such an early stage all we have to do is surgically remove it and a minimal amount of normal skin and you'll be all good and cured.
  • Sounds good to me!
  • The surgery went great, I removed the cancerous mole and didn't see any sign of spreading. You came in at a perfect time.
  • Thank you so much Doc, is there any treatment needed?
  • No, because the Melanoma was at such an early state it had not spread past your epidermis. This means surgery actually cured the cancer. Keep in mind some side effects of this cancer; new/unusual growth of or change in an existing mole. This can be anywhere on the body. Come in immediately if you experience any of these.
  • I will, Thank you again.
