characterization: in the book collin is faced with a constant struggle because when it comes to his relationships he seems to have a 'type' of girls, Katherine's... He has dated 19 girls named Kathrine just to find the right one.
Theme: in this novel the theme is self indenity
Symbolisim: in this novel i found that caves and sunsets mean something to the main three characters. For each one it means something different but they all can come to a conclusion that once you look at it , it will and always is beautiful.
flashback: seeing the past hits colin hard. remembering his dad and all the things they used to do makes him feel empty and h has no idea who or how to talk about it.
Setting: at the beginning of the novel its in kansas the mid-way they go on a road trip and end up in a small town in tennesse
