After previous battles, General Hooker's men retreat to Gettyburg. General Lee then also moves his troops to Gettysburg, unaware of the presence of Union soldiers.
The Union retreats back to Cemetery Hill. General James Long thought that the cemetery hill was impossible to take over, but Robert E Lee thought his troops were invincible.
The Union falls back to Little Round Top, while General Lee orders and attack there knowing that if they capture it, they will have the high ground on the Union. This Confederate attack was unsuccessful.
Attack the left side! We need the high ground!
