John Q. Adams is elected president even though Andrew Jackson won popular election. It was believed Henry Clay convinced congress to elect Adams.
1828- South Carolina Nullification
We not going to pay taxes on imported goods!
The Tariff of abomination was when they put taxes on all imported goods. This helped the North, but it hurt the South horribly in the economy.
1830- Worcester vs. Georgia
Don't come without license.
In the year 1828 John Q. Adams and Andrew Jackson once again were in the election, but this time Andrew Jackson won. The electoral college favored Jackson and led him to win.
1836- Trail of Tears
We have to leave.
Nullification Crisis was a series of crisis that happened during Andrew Jackson's presidency which involved the confrontation between South Carolina and Federal Government.
The case of which the United States chose the conviction of Samuel Worcester, and that no Non-Native American can come onto Natives land unless they have a license.
Trails of Tears were when Cherokees were forced to give up their land, and move to president-day Oklahoma. Trail of Tears is the name because the devastating effects of the trip happening to the Cherokees.
