The Final Battle
Aztec started dying from small pox. It was brought by the Spanish and it affected the Spanish but affected the Aztec because they were new to the disease. Half of the population of Aztec died.
The Spanish returned to Tenochtitlan. Texcoco who had once been members of the triple alliance, were against the Aztec. Cortes blocked the causeways and aqueducts. Aztec people who survived the plague died from hunger. On August 13, 1521 Aztec surrendered
They burned down the city
