It was a water battle. The Greek ships forced the Persian ships a small channel.
The Greek Army and General Pausanians
There was another Greek ship force waiting for the Persian fleet. The Persian ships were not only suprised but also defeated.
The Greeks had a huge army there general was Pausanias. He worked with Sparta. Sparta is a very good fighting city/town. There was a battle and the Greeks defeated the Persians at a place called Platea.
When the battle was happening the Greek's navy burned the Persians ships at Asian Minor.
