Feudalism in the Middle Ages
This storyboard does not have a description.
The Pope and his church are ranked as the most important thing in society and the Feudal System.
A king of the city is the ruler, who usually follows the Church's decisions. He rules the entire city, and gets many things in exchange for handing down parts of his land.
A noble was one step below the king and they were vowed to fight for the king in exchange for land.
The knights/vassals protected the people above them in exchange for land. They gave the land they got to the merchants in exchange for various things.
Workers, farmers, and craftsmen were traded land for performances or work. They gave land to the peasants/surfs so that they didn't have to do much work.
Peasants/Surfs were the lowest level of society. They were just slightly above a slave.. the difference being that the surfs got to keep some food.
