Exposition: A old farmer had an old, loyal horse which could no longer do work so the farmer would no longer feed the horse.
Inciting Action: The farmer chases the old horse away into open country.
Rising Action: The horse meets a fox and the horse tells the fox about how he was driven out of the farm and would have to bring a lion back to the farmer to prove his worth. The fox agrees to help.
Climax: The fox goes to a lion's den and lies to the lion, telling him there is a dead horse lying outside his den. Then the fox convinces the lion it would be better to drag the horse carcass to his cave.
Falling Action: The fox ties the lion's hind legs to the horse's tail. Then the horse jumps off the ground and drags the lion away when the fox tells him to pull.
Resolution: The horse brings the lion to the farm and the farmer sees the lion and lets the old horse live and eat on the farm until he dies.
