In the land of Duloc, there is an ogre that resides in the swamp. Currently, the discriminatory ruler of Duloc Lord Farquaad has ordered the capturing of all mystical creatures. Several Villagers are attemtping to attack Shrek, but fail.
This is the part where you run away
In an attempt to freely get his land, Shrek goes to Lord Farquaad's castle. There he faces much discrimination and ridicule and even has to fight some of the knights of the kingdom.
Shrek is only shown some peace when he is able to be used. In exchange for his land, Shrek must go and rescue a princess for Lord Farquaad. Shrek and his friend Donkey set off on the journey
On their journey, Donkey attempts to talk to Shrek and asks him why he didn't "pull some of that ogre stuff" on Lord Farquaad. Shrek responds by being sarcastic and explaining that there is more to ogres.

Despite saving the princess, Shrek faces some discriminatory comments when Princess Fiona discovers that he is an ogre. Initially, she does not willingly go with Shrek.
In the end, Shrek decides to go against society and the stereotypes placed upon him. He interrupts the wedding between Fiona and Farquuad and ultimately wins and breaks through the discrimination he has faced for so long.
