  • Graphic novels take place anywhere but the layout of the book is with gutters and panels. The characters speak through speech bubbles.
  • Fantasy is a genre that takes place in a world that doesn't exist. It has made up characters and stories that are never possible in our world. There is always something magical going on in this genre.
  • Historical fiction takes place in the past with real things that have happened but fake characters. Some examples are The Scarlet Stocking Spy.
