Growing up, I was always a very skinny child and also very active. I would workout everyday from a young age and played so many different sports. I was involved in a lot of extra curricular activities so I was always very fit and healthy.
As high school started, slowly each year I started to leave behind my fitness and started to binge eat a lot without realizing because I was really skinny so I thought it wouldn’t affect me as much.
As I got lazier and stopped being so active and started eating more and got filled with school work, I started gaining a lot of weight and eating very unhealthy
I quickly realized that my body was changing and that I had to get back on track and start eating healthy again and being fit. So I got back into the habit of working out and eating better.
But then, when I lost weight and got back to normal, I slowly started getting in to my old habits once school started again. I started using school as an excuse to not workout because I believed that I was too busy and did not have the time for anything but school. As that happened, I also started to stress eat and gained even more weight than before.
Now, in the present, I have realized that eating healthy is a lifestyle and being fit is a lifestyle choice that I want to make by being healthy, eating right and being active. And it is still hard because it is very easy to get side tracked and make excuses and be too busy but if you are determined you can make the time for it. After all it is a lifestyle.
