The girls were required to do the "Jungmädel Challenge" consisted of participation in a one-day trip with the group, and a number of sports requirements. With Hitler becoming the chancellor, it was compulsory that the German girls had to join the young girls league and the league of German girls.
Hitler took his chance to become the Fuehrer after President Hidenburg's death in 1934. The Weimar Constitution stated the immediate election on assigning the new President. Hitler thus merged the powers of the President with those of the Chancellor and proclaimed himself Fuehrer. With that, Hitler had the Enabling act and was above the law. The German army immediately swore an oath of the allegiance to Hitler instead of the German Constitution.
