Storyboard Text

  • Hamlet sees Fortinbras' friends walking through town
  • Denmark Bar and club
  • Hamlet and Rosencratz in the Bar
  • I’ll be with you straight. Go a little before.
  • Will ’t please you go, my lord?
  • Hamlet on the dance floor
  • What is a man If his chief good and market of his time Be but to sleep and feed? A beast, no more. Sure, he that made us with such large discourse, Looking before and after, gave us not That capability and godlike reason To fust in us unused.
  • As Fortinbras' friensds make their way through town to go get back Fortinbras' stolen phone from Polando Hamlet runs into Capitin. Capitin told Hamlet about where they were going.
  • A Pointless Mission
  • A thought which, quartered, hath but one part wisdom And ever three parts coward—I do not know Why yet I live to say “This thing’s to do,”
  • Rosencratz and Hamlet went into the bar and had a drink. They had to go but Hamlet was still thinking about the encounter with Capitin so he told Rosencratz to go ahead.
  • Realization
  • How stand I then,That have a father killed, a mother stained,Excitements of my reason and my blood, And let all sleep—while, to my shame, I see The imminent death of twenty thousand men, That for a fantasy and trick of fame Go to their graves like beds, fight for a plot Whereon the numbers cannot try the cause, Which is not tomb enough and continent To hide the slain?
  • Hamlet began thinking about the action Fortinbras' has taken and starts to feel inadequate about his inaction on this revenge.
  • Thoughts must be bloody
  • Oh, from this time forth, My thoughts be bloody, or be nothing worth!
  • Hamlet sees that his inaction is cowardice and the result of overthinking. He realizes after talking to Capatin that Fortinbras' mission is dnagerous and maybe not worth it but still he takes the action.
  • Witness this army of such mass and charge Led by a delicate and tender prince, Whose spirit with divine ambition puffed Makes mouths at the invisible event, Exposing what is mortal and unsure To all that fortune, death, and danger dare, Even for an eggshell
  • Hamlet says that he must retaliate becasue now he's alone with his father dead and his mother held mentally captive. He feels that if soilders can fight this meangingless fight why can't he get his revenge.
  • He now at this time knows that if he does not have revengeful thoughts that he will have failed.
