In Germany, Adolf Hitler orders a bloody purge of his own political party, assassinating hundreds of Nazis whom he believed had the potential to become political enemies in the future.
Hitler achieved virtually full employment through rearmament, National Service and marginalising groups like the Jews.
Nazi ideology centered on the belief that the Aryan race of northern Europe was superior to all others and that some races were sub-human. This persecution involved sterilisation, ‘euthanasia’, imprisonment in concentration camps and the loss of civil rights.
