  • Monarchy must end!
  • King James I doesn't listen to Parliaments demands because he thinks God made him king. His son, Charles I, eventually becomes king and still doesn't listen to Parliament.
  • English Nobles
  • I have little support. I should probably flee. Bye.
  • Invade England please

  • Civil war starts between the King's Roundheads and Parliament's Cavaliers. The Cavaliers eventually win and the corrupt Charles I dies.
  • That was easy.
  • Oliver Cromwell, supporter of Parliament, wins the civil war and abolishes monarchy and sets up a commonwealth. Cromwell eventually dies and Charles II takes over, reestablishing monarchy.
  • Bill of Rights
  • James II takes of over England but later flees due to realizing he had little support from England. Meanwhile, English nobles encourage William of Orange to invade.
  • William of Orange, and his wife Mary, successfully invades and rules England with little bloodshed in the process.
  • William of Orange creates the Bill of Rights.
