  • The Battle of Saratoga was fought between British troops and American colonists. On the British side they were led by General John Burgoyne. On the colonists' side they were led by Horatio Gates and Benedict Arnold.
  •  The Time Span of The Battle of Saratoga
  • The Battle of Saratoga was the turning point in the revolution. General Burgoyne achieved a small victory that was also extremely costly and the American forces lost the battle. However, on October 7th, General Burgoyne again attacked Americans at Bemis Heights, but this time was defeated and forced to retreat.
  • The Significance of The Battle of Saratoga
  • The Battle of Saratoga took place in Saratoga and Stillwater, New York. Most of the battle was hashed out in open fields. They built barriers and shielded themselves with shrubs and other natural resources. They also protected their lives with bayonets and other forms of weapons.
  • Resolving The Battle of Saratoga 
  • The Battle of Saratoga happened in the year of 1777. The two important dates were September 19th and October 7th. Within these two dates we see victory upon the British side and also victory upon the American Colonists' side.
  • It was crucial victory for the Patriots during the American Revolution and is considered the turning points of the Revolutionary War. The battle was impetus for France to enter the war against Britain, re-invigorating Washington's Continental Army and providing much needed supplies and support.
  • The Battle of Saratoga was resolved by the British troops surrendering to the American forces, in which provided the colonists' an upper hand in the American Revolution.
