Discussion Management- Discussion type will be determined by the instructor and indicated by a visiual chart at the front of the classroom. They type of discussion indicated will determine the procedures of the discussion.
A. Open Discussion- No hands for input, tangents redirected, peer-moderated, moderate volume. B. Focused Discussion- Hands for input, tangents redirected, peer or instructor-led, low-volume. C. Group Discussion- Group Discussion: Han on desk for input, topic-focused, only within group, group leader moderated, low-volume.
D. Partner Discussion- no hands for input, topic-focused, only within partnership, no moderator, low-volume. E. Group Work Discussion- No hands for input, activity-focused, only within group, group leader moderated, moderate volume. F. Zero-Decibel- Absolute silence, reserved for tests quizes, and individual work-times.
