Beowulf is the son of a warrior-lord named Ecgthew. Beowulf has incredible strength and no one second-guesses his strength. He has battled with many creatures and has always won.
"I will avenge my son, Grendel!"
Beowulf and his men travel to Denmark to help villages kill the villain, Grendel.
Grendel comes to attack the Geats (Beowulf and his men) in the mead hall (their place of rest). Beowulf fights Grendel hand-to-hand as how Grendel takes the lives of his victims. Beowulf wounds Grendel and he eventually dies.
Grendel's mom seeks revenge for the death of her son. Beowulf faces his second battle. He first has to overcome sea monsters then Grendel's mom. Beowulf succeeds in killing Grendel's mom.
In Beowulf's final battle, he fights a dragon. The dragon wounds Beowulf badly, but Beowulf continues to fight the dragon. Beowulf eventually kills the dragon.
In Beowulf's last battle, he was wounded badly. He died for his people and country. To honor Beowulf, the people held a funeral for him. They put him on a ship with swords and shields and burned his body.
