KING GEORGE III WAS RUNNING OUT OF MONEY BECAUSE OF THE FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR. SO TO START GETTING A REVENUE HE DECITED TO TAX COLONIST ON EVERYDAY ITEMS.
HE TAXED THEM ON SUGAR, PAPER, LEAD ECT. TO COVER THE COST OF THE 7 YEARS WAR. HE THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE OK BECAUSE THE COLONIES WERE USED AS THE FIGHTING LAND
KING GEORGE III WANTED TO KEEP NATIVE AMERICANS AWAY FROM THE COLONISTS TO PREVENT PROBLEMS. HE SCARED THE COLONISTS BY TELLING THEM THE INDIANS WOULD HURT OR EAT THEM. THE KING WANTED TO KEEP THE COLONISTS BY THE COAST FOR EASY ACCESS.
