Corporation in Monopoly By: Odalis Munoz
Hey, let me ask you something. Do you think its possible a corporation can be a monopoly?
I think you're crazy. Monopoly and a corporation are two different things...right?
Monopoly is a market structure that has one seller selling one product.
And a corporation is a legal entity that is separate from its owners.
Well if you really look at it, both groups have individual owners, just one with more advantage than the other.
Which one has more advantage?
Monopoly has more advantage because the seller sets the price for his own goods and has no competition.
Ohh okay. But both have to deal with taxes and they can transfer ownership to someone else?
Yes correct, so a corporation can be a monopoly. Just a bit more complicated than making and selling your own product.
Guess you weren't crazy after all :)
