  • Aeolus and Laestrygones
  • Oh no! The unforgivable winds blew our boat back to the island.
  • Circe the Witch
  • I've turned them into pigs! Now drink this!
  • What did you do to my men?
  • Calypso's Island
  • You shall stay with me and be my husband!
  • No! I must go home! Please let me and my men go!
  • Odysseus and his men land at the island of Aeolus where he let them stay for a month and got two parting gifts, but when his crew decided to open one, it was unforgivable winds that sent them back to the island. When that happened, Odysseus stopped at the island of Laestrygones, where fierce cannibals attacked them and only Odysseus, his ship, and 45 men survived. 
  • The Land of the Dead
  • do not abandon me unwept, unburied,to tempt the gods wrath, while you sail for home; but fire my corpse, and all the gear i had
  • When Odysseus was going to save his men from the enchantress, he meets Hermes the god. Hermes gives him a magical plant called moly which protects him from the power of Circe. Circe gave Odysseus a drink that does not affect him because of the plant. 
  • Sirens, Scylla, Charybdis
  • Odysseus met the minor goddess and nymph, Calypso. Calypso soon fell madly in love with Odysseus, and she forced the traveler to remain on the island as her husband and hostage
  • Thrinacia
  • When Odysseus and his men arrive at the land of the dead he encounters several dead people he was related to. Elpenor ,one of the crew men,  died and asked Odysseus for a proper burial. Anticlea his mother tells Odysseus what is happening in Ithica with his family and the suitors. And Tiresias who warns them to not eat the cattle from Helios. 
  • Unhappy spirit,  I promise you the barrow and the burial. 
  • When Odysseus passed by the sirens his crew tied him to the mast so that he could listen to the sirens singing. Charybdis  swallowed the crew into the sea, it was the most terrifying thing he had ever seen. The Scylla was a six-headed monster that ate one sailor for each head.
  • The men and Odysseus arrive on Thrinacia the land of the sun god Helios. The men were starving so they ate the sacred cattle and then got cursed by Zeus. Zeus struck Oddyseus' ship with a thunder bolt killing everyone but him to appease Helios. Odysseus drifts away to Ogygia
  • Please Sir the men are starving!
  • We can't eat the cattle of Helios!!
