Storyboard Text

  • Hooray! Mark the date! It's 1821 and Mexico is officaly free from Spanish rule!
  • Hello, hello! My name is Stephen Austin and I'm here to guide you to Texas. Is everyone here? Is everyone ready? Great! Let's get going.
  • This is no longer Mexican territory, it might as well be a state of America. I predict Texas will soon declare its independence.
  • You will follow the laws of Mexico, or you will leave. Texas is officially closed to Americans.
  • This is our land and we are Americans. We will not live under your rule and injustice.
  • We can't possibly live under the rule of these barbarians any longer.
  • What happens now? The Alamo is barely standing and there is only women and children left.
  • Texas must gain its independece. Mexico has mistreated us and it will no longer be tolerated.
  • I surrender, I surrender! We are your prisoners, Houston.
  •  There you go Mr. Polk! Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo all signed and ready to go. With all that new land, your dream of Manifest Destiny is close to reality!
  • That's the hope, General Santa Anna! Thanks for your cooperation.
