  • Nitrofication
  • Hello, I am ammonia. I am going to take you through the nitrogen cycle.
  • Nitrogen FIxation
  • Special Bacteria
  • Dentrification
  • nitrogen gas diffuses from the atmosphere into the soil, thenspecial bacteria converts nitrogen gas to ammonia.
  • Nitrogen Gas
  • Ammonia molecule
  • Ammonia
  • Decomposition
  • The ammonia converts into nitrite ions that are taken by plants through the roots. animals obtain these compounds when they eat the plants. When the animals die the nitrogen compounds re enter the soil.
  • Nitrite Ions

  • Ammonia
  • Nitrite
  • nitrifying bacteria in the soil convert ammonia into nitrite and then into nitrate. Those compounds can be taken from the soil into plants to form plant and animal proteins.
  • Nitrate
  • plant
  • plant and animal proteins
  • nitrate
  • Nitrogen Gas
  • Denitrification is the last step to this cycle by denitrifying bacteria converting nitrate back into nitrogen and releasing it back into the atmosphere.
  • I hope you learned something in our trip through the Nitrogen cycle, goodbye!
