the battle of Stirling bridge took place in 1297 near Stirling castle. the battle was really important in Scottish history because the scots won and William Wallace became guardian of Scotland. the scots had 8000 foot soldiers while the English had 10000 the scots also had 36 horsemen but the English had 300.
William Wallace died on the 23 of august 1305 by getting hung drawn and quartered he died because allegedly committing treason rebellion and murder he was hung in smithfield london. William Wallace was stripped naked and dragged through the streets by a hours before he died.
