- King Louis is executed via guillotine in 1793 after being found guilty of treason for not conceding his royal power to the revolutionary government
- "I wish that my blood may be able to cement the happiness of the French.Gentlemen, I am innocent of everything of which I am accused."
- France begun its transformation from a Monarchy to a republic, and for the first time in their lives, French citizens could elect their leaders.
- Before the revolution, 10% of earnings were taken by the King, Land was taxed heavily and landlords charged high rates. This was abolished during the revolution and much of France become rural small independent farms.
- The French Revolution not only succeeded in turning France into a Republic, but also showed other countries that power of people. The French Revolution revolutionized revolutions and paved the path for other countries and people who were treated poorly.
- Since the Revolution, France has given a voice to their citizens and allowed them vote, promoting the idea of public interest.
- "Our strength gives us the ascendancy of the truth over deception, and the rights of public interest over private interest."
- The French Revolution was a success because it improved the lives of French and showed that the people had power. The French Revolution inspired other Revolutions such as the Russian Revolution which used the same slogan.
