  • Women's rights were different in the 1500's. Women were the lesser gender. Basically, no one respected them. 
  • Women couldn't/didn't have jobs. If they had a job, they were hanged. Women weren't allowed to do a job they wanted.
  • Women weren't allowed to do parts in plays. Men were only allowed to do the women parts in the plays. They weren't allowed to do plays.
