Storyboard Text

  • We won't escape a brawl.
  • You are a fighter.
  • Where is Romeo?
  • I don't want to fight you. Where is Romeo?
  • Mercutio and Benvolio are talking in the hot weather. Benvolio tell Mercutio that if they see the Capulets they will not escape a brawl.
  • There is Romeo. The worst of them all.
  • Why don't you fight me?
  • Mercutio tells Benvolio he is a fighter. This is an example of irony because Mercutio is the one that dies in this scene.
  • Stop fighting! It is against the law!
  • Tybalt finds them on the street and wants to know where Romeo is. Tybalt sent Romeo a letter that challenged him him to a duel and he wants to carry out that duel now.
  • I wish something bad on all of you.
  • Mercutio tries to provoke Tybalt, but Tybalt doesn't want to fight him. Romeo walks over to them and Tybalt insults him.
  • Mercutio starts a fight between him and Tybalt. Romeo tries to stop the fight by telling them it is against the law.
  • Tybalt kills Mercutio. As Mercutio is dying, he wishes something bad to happen to them. This is an example of foreshadowing.
