What is it darling? What's the matter?
I’m afraid this might be a bit of a shock to you, but i’ve thought about it and i’ve decided that I should tell you right away
In the rising action of the story, Mary insists she make supper. She gets a leg of lamb out of the freezer and carries it upstairs. Patrick insists that she not make him supper and tells her that he is going out.
For god’s sake, don’t make supper for me! I’m going out

In the falling action of the story Mary goes to the store for an alibi, then she gets home and pretends to find Patrick there. She then calls the police and they come right away. Mary tells them her story multiple times and they rule her out as a suspect.
I'm afraid he is, what happened?
Is he dead?
In the resolution of the story Mary insists the officers have something to eat. She then feeds them the meal she had made, along with the leg of lamb. Mary starts to giggle in the other room while the officer's eat.
Personally, I think it’s right here on the premises, probably right under our very noses
