Okonkwo's fear is becoming like his father
Some ways Okonkwo tried not to be like his father is by wrestling " he brought honor to his village by throwing the best wrestler who's back never touched the mat." ( page 3 )
His father was very lazy people say he was " lazy and improvident and was quite of thinking about tomorrow " ( page 4 )
" Unoka was a failure, he was poor and his wife and children barley had enough to eat, people laughed at him and called him a loafer " ( page 5)
Okonkwo showed people that he wasn't weak by killing his adopted son Ikemefuna. " that boy that calls you father do not bear a hand on his death " ( page 57)
