  • We are getting attacked!!
  • Japan started expanding their country, they invaded Korea, China, Okinawa, and Hokkaido mostly for materials and resources they needed.
  • Japanese Declaration of war on the U.S. and the British Empire
  • They declared war.
  • The U.S. decided to stop the transports of oil and steel to Japan so they can't expand anymore due to conflicts.
  • FDR/"Date which will live in infamy"
  • We can't deal with this anymore, we have to do something.
  • Japan didn't like the embargo that the U.S. made, so they decided to attack one of our strongest military bases. We were unprepared of the attack and lost around 1,000 people and tons of airplanes, ships and supplies.
  • U.S. Entering WWII
  • We are entering the war, so get your men prepared.
  • after Japanese forces had executed an attack on the U.S. they then attacked British forces in Malaya, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The declaration of war was printed on the front page of all Japanese newspapers' evening editions on December 8.
  • On December 8th, President Franklin Roosevelt made a speech about the attack of Pearl Harbor. Also known as the "Pearl Harbor Speech."
  • After the Speech FDR made, the U.S. decided to enter the war. Over 16 million U.S. people went into the military during this time.
  • Yes, sir.
