  • Multiple Intelligences  By: Olivia Lane - 6th period Due: May 9th, 2019
  •      Albert Einstein once said, "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." There is no one way to be intelligent just like there is no one way to do math. Howard Gardner wasn't the first to notice people are criticized if they aren't "book smart" or "math smart." However, he was the first credited person to do something about it. My top three intelligences arelinguistic, existential, and musical.
  •       Writing may seem like a boring task that is only needed in school or work, however, it can be a great way to express yourself. Writing, reading, and all word related things is under the category of verbal intelligence. Having verbal intelligence means that you have the ability to comprehend and practice verbal and literary language. Authors like C.S. Lewis use their linguistic intelligence when writing a new book. Ways to enhance your linguistic intelligence is by reading, writing, playing word games and learning new words daily.

  •             My second highest-ranked intelligence type is existential intelligence. Existential intelligence isn't officially considered an intelligence but, should definitely be considered one. Cosmic smarts, as it is also referred to as, is the gift of understanding or comprehending deeper or unusually personal questions. Famous religious leaders like Jesus, Gandi,  the Pope, even psychologists, and many more people have existential intelligence. Existentially smart people tend to be very curious and have their morals "set in stone."
  •     Musical intelligence is my third highest-ranking intelligence. musical intelligence may seem that can only be apart of musicians' or people in your local choir or band's brain. However, musically intelligent people can be people with a good memory, and that can pick up music, rhythm, patterns, and like working to music. People with musical intelligence tend to like making music and/or they appreciate music strongly. Stevie Wonder is a great example of a person with musical intelligence.
