  • Don't start your day with the broken pieces of yesterday. Every morning we wake up is the first day of the rest of our life.
  • Dear Connor, Today is going to be a great day and here's why. From, Evan
  • Today is going to be a great day☺️
  • Though Cynthia and Larry Murphy were very pleased with the emails, Zoe did not feel the same way. Cynthia and Zoe began to argue. In an attempt to resolve the argument, Evan comes up with a story, that he and Connor had gone to a local apple orchard together, and that he had broken his arm while on one of their trips.
  • Evan and a classmate, Alana Beck, realize that the other students at their school have started to forget about Connor. So, they start The Connor Project and host a memorial service for Connor. Cynthia Murphy, Connor's mother, gives Evan a tie that she had previously bought for Connor. Evan wears this to the assembly.
  • Evan then creates a video on the Connor Project's website. This video features an emotional speech from Evan. He discusses loneliness and anxiety. He discusses his friendship with Connor Murphy. This video goes viral and Zoe, who doubted Evan and Connor's friendship from the start, begins to believe him and is very grateful for what Evan did.
