Wow a mermaid!
Hello, I am here to teach you about inverse functions.
Inverse Functions? What are those?
Inverse functions are simply reflections of the original function.
Can you teach me how they work?
Sure! Lets say we have the function, f(x)= 3x-6. First you will change f(x) to y so the function will now read, y=3x-6.
Next switch the x and y variables so it reads x=3y-6. Now the goal of these inverse functions problems are to solve for "y".
Therefore, to solve for "y", we add 6 to both sides and divide by 3. Now, our final answer and our inverse functions is f-1(x)= x+6/3. That's how you do inverse functions!
Man that was fun!
I put the FUN in Inverse Functions!
