  • Hi sweetie! I had to go to the store for a couple of things. Dinner is on the table! Don't forget to do your homework.
  • Love you too, sweetie!
  • Hey Mom, I made it back home from practice! Where are you?
  • 6:00 P.M.
  • Ok, love you!
  • 6:40 P.M. (after dinner) Ugh, now I have to start doing my homework. I have so much!
  • I am. I know, Mom, I'll try my best to go to sleep in a couple of minutes.
  • 9:30 P.M. Hi sweetie! Are you doing your homework? Make sure you don't stay up too late. It's important to get a good night's sleep because if you don't then your ability to effectively learn, listen, concentrate and solve problems will decrease.
  • 12:30 A.M. (I do not finish my homework because I fall asleep on my bed)
  • 6:00 A.M. Oh my gosh! Because I was doing my homework on my bed, I fell asleep! I didn't finish doing my homework. What am I going to do?! MOM!!!!
  • Sweetie, you have to make sure that you manage your schedule so you have a good amount of time to eat dinner, do your homework, and get a good night sleep. This is important because sleep can help you eat better and manage the stress of being a teen. Getting a good nights sleep can restore alertness, enhance performance, and reduce mistakes. You should do your homework on your desk. As a result, you won't fall asleep.
  • Thanks, Mom! I'll start doing my homework on my desk instead of my bed so I don't fall asleep again. If I do this, then I would be able to finish my homework and be able to focus better at school. My stress level will decrease as well.
