  • Okay guys so after hearing about the Haitian Revolution I've been thinking and this is what we should do . . .
  • fellow slaves
  • On January 8, Delondes and 25 others attacked the Andry plantations owner and family
  • The slaves ransacked the Andry plantation stealing uniforms, guns, and ammunition.
  • More slaves joined the rebellion on the way to New Orleans. The group sang Creole protested songs and killed whites along the way.
  • Wade Hampton was assigned to stop the rebellion. The slaves and whites fought for two days before Hampton could claim his defeat.
  • In the end, the whites had no casualties and there were 20 slaves dead.
