The Bears Attack

"Mommy, I'm soaring! I'm soaring!" Brightbill is 2 feet off the ground, flying against the wind. He can finally do it! They have been practicing all day and it is now early evening. As the sun starts to set, Roz and Brightbill decide to head home. After all, it has been a long day.
As our poor robot journeys up the cliffside, she is greeted by the two angry bear cubs. The younger one starts gnawing on Roz's foot. It pops off and flies into the ocean with a satisfying "Plop!" Just then, mother bear shows up. Thorn is startled and falls down the cliff! Luckily, there is a branch in the cliff that he is able to hold on to. Roz is hoisted down and grabs Thorn.
It's early fall, and Brightbill has a decision to make. He has to decide either to stay with his mom or go with the flock. "Mommy, will you come?" Brightbill asks. "I am afraid not," says Roz, "I mean, how hard can winter be?" She does not know what she is getting into...
